This is a fine designer cab of Holly Blue agate. Oregon material, and no longer being mined. This stone features the best of Holly Blue. No inclusions or fractures. Clean gel. Glass polish front and back. Weight, 5 +/- carats. Size: 17.5 x 5.8 x 4.1 MM. Cutting HOLLY BLUE is no different than cutting any another agate. The challenge is HOLLY BLUE is full of fractures and inclusions. To get a clean stone requires a lot of patience. Not sure where the blue name came from. Perhaps HOLLY LAVENDER would be a better description. I will admit that HOLLY BLUE does have a better ring to it. What ever…. Small stone. Thanks for taking time to look.
